grocertap uses the Apple account signed into iCloud on the device. Confirm that you are signed in and that iCloud is available, then reopen the app.

If you changed Apple accounts, the app deliberately hides the previous account’s cached list and blocks its pending changes. Switch back to the original account to resume that list.

The household owner can open Settings in grocertap and choose Invite or manage people. Invitations use Apple’s system sharing sheet and must be accepted by the invited Apple account.

If you already have a private list, grocertap asks whether to merge it into the shared household or keep it private. Choose carefully: merging shares those items and remembered history with the household.

Changes save on the device first. When iCloud is reachable, the app sends only changed records. A status such as Saved here · waiting for iCloud means your edit is safe locally and queued.

Keep the app open briefly, check the network and iCloud status, and confirm every device is using the intended Apple account. Do not reinstall as a first step because that removes the local copy from the device.

Add the grocertap widget from the iOS widget gallery. It reads the same local App Group document as the app and can tick items directly.

If it is empty or out of date, open grocertap once and confirm the iCloud account. The widget hides household data when it cannot verify that the active account owns the cached list.

Select plain text in another app, open the iOS share sheet, and choose grocertap. The extension sends only the text you selected; it does not read the clipboard.

If grocertap is not visible, use the share sheet’s edit or More control to enable it. Open the main app first if the current iCloud account has not yet been verified.

You can add, edit, and tick items without a connection. grocertap writes the list and its pending synchronisation queue together, then sends the changes when iCloud returns.

Creating, accepting, or changing a household invitation requires Apple’s iCloud sharing service and may need a connection.

Swipe to delete a live item. Bought and removed items can remain in recoverable History, and remembered purchase history is kept separately to power suggestions.

Use Apple’s sharing controls to remove a participant, leave a shared household, or stop sharing. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device but does not guarantee deletion of records already in iCloud or shared with other participants.

There is no separate grocertap account or developer server. If you need help identifying the right controls, email support before including any sensitive list content.
